Catering Event

Besides the wedding that i "missed," this was the last catering event that Culinary Arts went to.
We catered the administration and were a BIG hit! Of course they didn't expect anything less than perfect but honestly, who wouldn't? ;)
Thats my beautiful truck before we traded it. A '94 Dodge. A beauty. Really.
We would lay all the food in the bed, as much as we could without layering.
We would then pile everything else in the other truck we had and leeeeave!
Normally all the food would survive fine, but no guarantees on the equipment.
The last photo is a kid who made the highest stack of paper cups.
LOOK AT HIM GO!

I Missed the Wedding :0

Okay, yes it's my fault i "missed the wedding" but how could you NOT when all this great food is in need of care?  The wedding was for one of my most beloved (though he is totally and completely a high schooler at heart) teachers and the best most understanding counselor EVER!
Chef Smith married Ms. Brown
Yes. I refer to them as shown above despite thefact that i know their first names and they are basically my family at school...blah blah blah.
That's who they are. Get over it!
But anywho, it was both their second weddings so they wanted to keep it honest and simple.  They had the ceremony at this cabin over in Kennedale ten minutes away.  It's actually a family's home so technically they cant charge anyone to use their property but they do take donations.
This place is huge and beautiful!
The main house is gorgeous and the cabin behind even more so.  The yard is large enough to hold at least 200 people (they had 80) there is a pond with a fountain further back, and the coolest thing ever is that they allow guests to swim in their pool! Yeah, i would never do that!  It was beautiful and hott!
So on to the reason i "missed the wedding."  We spent all day prepring the food, doing KFC runs, sweating, laughing, and even going across town to rescue another chef...Her car wouldnt start.  But after all was said and the food was laid out, I couldnt bear the thought of seeing such wonderful people miss out on the opportunity of being married together forever..
It was sad really.
So i sat with the food admiring our great hands at work.
